The Process
Send me an email through the contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible about scheduling your session and discussing any other questions you may have about your Senior Portrait Experience! Be ready to choose the month you want to do your shoot. Once the contract and the retainer fee of $250 is paid, I will send you a welcome with a link to the TSP Senior Portrait Experience guide that will cover everything you need to know to get ready for the shoot!
BOOK YOUR SESSION
2-3 weeks before your shoot we'll meet online or get together in-person to start planning your session. Let’s talk about what you envision, brainstorm ideas and get an overall idea of what we want to accomplish for your Senior Portrait Experience!. What outfits you have in mind, colors, locations, and anything else you want to bring along to your shoot. We will also go over a timeline for your big day – when to schedule hair/makeup and when we will meet up.
The consultation
This is the day where it’s all about YOU! My goal is to help you relax and feel completely comfortable, just being you! I will take care of everything else – finding the perfect locations, finding the best lighting, and talking you through all of the poses… Trust me, I’ve got you covered!
After your session, I will post a sneak peek from your shoot that evening or the next day!
The photoshoot
During your shoot I will take a lot of photos but I don’t want to overwhelm you with hundreds and hundreds of images for your gallery so I will go through and narrow it down to the best ones. I believe in quality over quantity of images. I will then enhance your photo as needed with small adjustments to exposure and color. I will also do blemish retouches and skin smoothing if I feel like it’s needed. If you have something specific that you want to have edited out just let me know!
The photo Enhancement
Within 2-3 weeks following your senior portrait session, I will send you access to your private online gallery, personally curated with all of the best images from your gorgeous session!
Don't worry, this portion will be completely stress-free! You can take your time and gush over your gallery in the comfort of your own home.

WHAT ARE YOUR SESSIONS LIKE?
Every session is going to be fun and unique! The length and time, and number of locations will vary depending on the type of session you choose. No matter what the locations is, I am always looking at it differently for all my clients. To me, it’s not so much about the location but more about the light at that time in conjunction with your personality and style. As we walk around, I will guide you through with what to do while I shoot. I will help you with posing but I also focus more on making you feel comfortable in front of the camera by talking to you and getting to know you. As we both get to know each other, you’ll find that it gets easier and start to feel more natural…I’ll photograph that gorgeous smile, that thoughtful look…and soon you’ll be laughing and I’ll be capturing those gorgeous candid moments too!

DO I NEED TO GET PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP?
I say YES! It is a fun part of your overall experience! I want you to not only look your best but also feel you best. However, I also leave this up to you – professionally done hair and makeup does translate well on camera, and I have some of the BEST makeup artists and hairstylists that I can hook you up with! They do a fabulous job bringing out your beauty that’s already there with a pop of glam, while still keeping it very natural and down to earth. Sometimes getting the hair and makeup done takes a lot of stress out of getting ready AND it is super fun to be pampered! But if you don’t feel like that is a reflection of who you are…skip it. Just know that it is an option that is available to you! If you are interested in getting this done, just let me know during the consultation and we will work that into the schedule for the day!

WHERE WILL WE GO FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT?
During our consultation, I will take the time to really get to know you. We will talk about locations that go with your personality and style. Feel free to suggest any special locations that you absolutely love or have personal meaning to you.
With that said, for the most part, I don’t want you to worry about locations, as this is my job! If you don't have something specific in mind, I am happy to help you narrow down the perfect locations to shoot for your session! I love finding new and unique spots that will make your photos extra special!

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
I start watching the weather several days before the session. The day of the session, my eyes will be on my weather app and if it is showing a high percentage of rain that day, we will wait until at least a couple hours before the session to make that go/no-go decision. If it's a no-go, your session will be rescheduled. If you are getting hair and makeup done that day, I will let you know of any reschedule before that even begins.
What I have learned over years of doing this is that if it’s raining that day, it doesn’t mean the session is going to be cancelled. I have captured some of the most dramatic and gorgeous images because Mother Nature can’t make up her mind to rain or not.

WHAT IF IT'S TOO WINDY?
When it comes to anything dealing with the weather, please know that I will always use my professional judgement to make the decision that is right for you and the end-result of your portrait session.
To be completely honest, I actually love capturing wind-in-the-hair photos, but sometimes the wind can get carried away. Trust me, I totally get it.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A SESSION?
Most sessions are booked with me 4-5 months in advance, especially during the busiest months of June – October! I highly recommend getting a date on my calendar early, we can finalize all of the details for your portrait session after you've booked a session.
If you know you want a session during the Fall season, it will be best to secure a session date by June.

WHEN DO YOU SCHEDULE YOUR SESSIONS?
Each portrait session is unique to the individual and depends on what ‘look’ we are going for, but most of the time sessions will take place 2-3 hours before sunset or right after sunrise for soft and flattering light.
Portrait sessions take place Monday – Friday. If you would like to book a session on Saturday or Sunday, an extra fee may apply depending on the season. Please inquire.

WHAT'S NEXT?
After you've booked your portrait session, you can request an optional in-person session consultation or FaceTime meeting to discuss everything about your upcoming senior photo shoot! We will go over every last detail– outfits, locations, make-up and more…
Most importantly, I want to get to know you and learn all about who you are, your personal style, your interests and hobbies, your passions, etc.
Once I learn all about you, we can start brainstorming and dreaming about our photo session– together!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION?
To keep things simple and easy for you, I offer 3 all-inclusive senior portrait collections that each include digital files and products. A la carte products are also available as add-ons. A complete list of the collections and products will be provided upon inquiry.
Senior session collections begin at $750.
