My previous post focused on the two little league brothers. This post is about the session I did with the little league team – the Saints!
I honestly had so much fun ON the baseball field! I loved everything about it – the dirt, the dust, the little boys in their cute outfits, balls flying everywhere, coaches yelling, etc…
This first photo below was submitted to the 2016 Iowa State Fair photography contest and received Honorable Mention in the Sports division. I also submitted it to the worldwide Shoot & Share contest and made it to the finalist round (109th place out of 9,197 photos submitted to the Emotion & Excitement category). I’ll take that! 🙂 What I love about this photo is are all the details that were so unplanned and just happened in that moment – the expressions, the kid with the tissue in his bloody nose, the dust, the cleats, how they are all going for the ball with their eyes CLOSED!!! Ha ha ha!
Thanks to the SAINTS for letting me takeover practice time before a real baseball game so that I could capture their memories on camera! Hopefully one of these days they can look back after a little league world series win and see how far they’ve come! 🙂
Love!
