Say hello to Amanda! Dowling Catholic High School, Class of 2015. This was a really fun and creative session for me, because she and her mom went along with whatever ideas I had. I love coming up with new ideas for each of my seniors so there’s always something different or something little that reflects who they are. In this case, Amanda is a HUGE cyclist so she brought her bike and her RAGBRAI cycling outfit downtown where we were shooting. I had been thinking a lot about how we could incorporate her bike into senior photos without making it too posey and propped out. When she showed me her jersey with the bright orange and greens, I honestly had no idea where we would go to shoot but I looked around and sure enough, there was the construction site I have driven by many times before – lo and behold it was orange and yellow! It was so perfect and what I had envisioned worked wonderfully! Oh – and as if that wasn’t enough..as we were walking back to our car to end the session, we walked by a dark black wall with parking numbers on it. I saw the number 15. So of course I begged them to let me do some more photos in front of parking space 15. You know…Class of 2015? “Sure!” they said! 🙂
Take a look at the pics from Amanda’s session – hope you enjoyed my short narration of how I think during these photo sessions.
THANK YOU Amanda and Tara for letting me be ME and trusting me with every direction. 🙂
