It’s that time of year again!  The Second Annual Mickelson for Council Family FUNdraiser hosted by West Des Moines City Councilman John Mickelson and his wife Brooke. The event took place in the Mickelson’s backyard and I was there to photograph it of course! 🙂 We were so blessed to have the rain hold off until the very end of the night, which allowed for the planned activities to move forward as scheduled.  The evening was filled with fun family activities and yummy treats including the sweet and artistic Brookie’s cookies! The kids were entertained by the Valley High School’s “Bakers Dozen” Mimes and the surprise entertainment of the night was a martial arts performance by the guys at Farrell’s! Before the rain (monsoon) arrived the kids were able to have fun with sparklers.  It really did turn out to be a lovely evening.  Take a look at the images I captured below!
