I love photography and I love getting to take other people’s pictures but I must remember to never neglect the photos of my own children. After all, they are the ones that helped get me to where I am now with my photography skills! So I am taking time out to go through some photos I took of them this last month. During the month of June we have spent a lot of time going to parks. Sometimes we dedicate entire mornings to go park-hopping stopping at one park, picking up lunch at Subway and proceeding to the next park for our picnic. This keeps them busy, keeps the nitpicking fights at a minimum and burns off some of their energy – works really well except when we go somewhere that doesn’t have a restroom. That’s when it comes in handy to have just boys!
I always try to capture head shots of the boys when I am out with my camera. They may never get printed or hung up on my walls but at least I have them right? Kyle here is my little GQ poser – he’s got such a pretty smile and knows how to use it to his advantage! Don’t let that sweet smile fool you though!
Andrew is my wild child. He’s the one that comes up with all the crazy ideas for his brothers to follow. His light brown eyes are always sparkly and he’s blessed with long eyelashes! All three of them are…thanks to Dad’s long girly lashes 🙂
Ryan is my forever baby. I was so surprised when he smiled so nice and looked straight at the camera for me! He usually tries to be goofy and make his brothers laugh.
He’s getting to be a “Big Boy”.
You can almost always find my boys huddled just like this digging in the dirt, looking for bugs or just digging in the dirt for no reason at all. They love dirt.
How about the chocolate milk mustache on Ryan below? He loves him some chocolate milk!
My baby decided to go pick me some wild flowers!
Then the other two older brothers had to pick flowers too. I had to tell them to stop because there weren’t that many flowers to begin with!
“Let’s get a brothers picture! Come here Ryan!” It rarely works out perfectly…
Here they are “exploring” – that’s a big word in our house. If I say “let’s go exploring”…they think it means I am going to take them on a wooden trail somewhere and go off the path. I made that mistake once (on some random dark trail that ended with a steep slippery slope toward a wet muddy creek) and now they won’t stop asking about when we can go “exploring” again!
Here is Ryan trying to be silly and make his brothers laugh!
Sunning in the driveway after playing in the sprinklers! Aaaahh summer!
This is Kyle and Mr. Toad that he caught and released. He lives under a big shrub in our backyard. Every once in a while he’ll come out and let the boys catch him and then we release Mr. Toad and the cycle starts all over. 🙂
That’s all for now…Happy Summer! It’s already end of June! School will be here before we know it!
